Ear Piercing - Under 10 Years of Age
I completely understand how very excited our younger guests are about getting their ears pierced! So, it is very much with a heavy heart that I must, for the time being, hold off on piercing the ears of nearly all kids under the age of 10.
If you would like to be contacted when we relax the age minimum, please complete the form found here.
But My Kid's Super Chill!
Many parents believe their child is mature for their age. And, I've definitely pierced the ears of a few younger kids who were as stoic, still, compliant, and unfearful as tweens and teens...
Because of that, I am open to discussing the possibility of making an exception for your 8- or 9-year old. What I am seeking in order to give a "thumbs up" is a child who will not need coaxing, calming, or repeated requests to sit still and straight; and who will not need to hold the hand of their parent or be anxious during the process due to fear of pain, or just the plain unknown. I can tell you from experience that this describes a small percentage of children in this age bracket...I ask that my decision be respectfully accepted as final, until I lift the age restriction on our piercing services.
Please send a "conversation starter" email to firstname.lastname@example.org Be sure to include your child's name and age, as well as a way to reach you. Do your level best to "introduce" me to your child with a description. We'll take it from there.
No exceptions will be considered for children under the age of 8 at this time. Thank you for your understanding. I hate missing out on the fun of piercing the ears of wee ones :-(
