The Hamsa is an ancient symbol with roots that stretch back thousands of years across the Middle East and North Africa. Recognized by its open hand shape, it has appeared in Jewish, Islamic, Christian, and other cultural traditions, where it is often worn as a symbol of protection, good fortune, and blessings.
Each component is hand-carved from mother-of-pearl and abalone by master Balinese artisans before being sent to New York, where Maura Green's team assembles the finished pendant in sterling silver. The natural shell brings depth and movement to the design, creating a meaningful talisman with craftsmanship that spans continents.
Wear it on its own or layer with other talismans to build a collection. Please note, each pendant is hand-carved from natural materials, so no two are ever exactly the same.
