This pendant features a Roman denarius coin from the reign of Emperor Trajan, minted around 108-109 AD. The front shows Victory advancing over Dacian shields, holding a wreath in one hand and a palm in the other while the back shows a laureate bust of Trajan. Trajan, one of Rome's "five good emperors," was known for his public works, military successes, and expansion of the Roman Empire, reaching its largest size under his rule. The coin is set in a refined yellow gold bezel, which adds a intricate pop of color to the piece.
