Sell Us Your Jewels
One of the cornerstones of our business is to conduct it with the most sustainability possible. As such, we purchase precious metals and gemstones from the public so that they can be recycled or upcycled, as opposed to contributing to the mining in the world.
If you are considering selling your jewelry, gems, or diamonds, here are some important things to know, so that you are prepared for the bid you will receive:
- In most, but not all situations, a jeweler will base their bid on the meltdown value of the precious metal (minus refining fees) and on less-than-wholesale value of the diamonds and gems.
- In some situations, particularly if we already have enough of what you're selling, the offer will be lower.
- In some situations, particularly if we already have a customer in mind for one or more of your pieces, the offer will be a bit higher.
- In some situations, selling an item or items on consignment with us might be your best course of action, as opposed to outright sale.
- In even fewer situations, particularly if something is in mint condition and has collectible value, a jeweler will bid even more.
Any offer you are given has a relatively short lifespan—since metal markets change, as well as our interest and current inventory. All offers are held in the strictest of confidence.
Should you decide to sell to us, we will request to see your state-issued ID. Generally, we write a check to the payee of your choice, as opposed to providing cash.
