Did you find out recently (or maybe quite some time ago...) that your diamond or gemstone is in need of repair? We have the expertise to facilitate that repair.

[PLEASE NOTE: this service is strictly for gems and diamonds that have been either faceted or cabbed--no uncut/rough diamonds or gems...]

The kinds of repairs that can possibly be performed on your gemstone or diamond are:

  • Removal of abrasions and small chips on the facet edges of your diamond or gem
  • Complete recutting of a gem or diamond in the event of a large break or crack
  • Changing the shape (and all the component facets) of your diamond or gem
  • Repolishing just the table (large, main facet) on a colored gemstone--sometimes even while keeping it in the mounting
  • Repolishing just the crown (part of the stone above the girdle edge) of a gemstone or diamond
  • Repolishing a dull cabochon gemstone, sometimes while leaving it in its mounting
  • Modernizing the cut of a diamond to reflect your taste
  • Adding fantasy faceting to the underside of an otherwise unremarkable colored gemstone

This appointment will help you learn what is possible, how much weight or size loss to expect, and give our graduate gemologist enough information so that you can be provided with a quote for service.
