This pendant features a Roman denarius coin from the reign of Emperor Severus Alexander, who ruled from 222 to 235 AD. The front shows a laureate and draped bust of Severus Alexander, while the back depicts Fides, the goddess of loyalty, standing with a standard in each hand. Severus Alexander was the last emperor of the Severan dynasty, known for his troubled reign during the Crisis of the Third Century, where he faced military conflict, economic chaos, and eventually his assassination by his own soldiers. The coin is beautifully set in an rich yellow gold bezel, merging ancient history with modern beauty.
