Designer, Gina Pinzari, has lovingly reproduced an ancient coin from Syracuse, Sicily circa 415 B.C. into this radiant gold pendant. The front of the pendant features Arethusa - a beautiful nymph whose story is told by many but most notably by Ovid in his poem Metamorphoses. Arethusa transformed into a stream that flowed beneath the sea floor and bubbled up as a sacred spring on the island of Sicily. The pendant is adorned with three white diamonds that frame the face of this golden nymph and is equipped with a yellow gold chain.
